About Us

Experience Justice is a team of lawyers with long careers in social justice fields, now donating our time, energy, and expertise to help address unmet needs for further social justice advances. We are strategic advocates using a range of tools to advise and work for social change while mentoring the next generation of activist attorneys. Our advocacy is holistic, a 360-degree initiative including litigation, legislation, social media, and community organizing. Working with community groups, law firms, public interest organizations,  law students, and communications experts, we tackle urgent issues that need legal redress.

Our team has set these priority areas of interest, which will expand as we expand: civil rights, education, housing, employment, criminal justice, LGBTQI rights, reproductive justice, judicial selection, and health. We also offer assistance on non-profit capacity building.

As an example, we helped with amicus briefs supporting state guidance to take race and ethnicity into account in prescribing medications to COVID-19 patients. In addition, we are currently assisting nominees for federal judgeships, consulting with reproductive justice and civil rights advocates, and helping to launch a new non-profit in New York City.

Building on our current work and expertise, we are developing additional initiatives in consultation with public interest organizations and community groups. In this way, we ensure that we are a needed resource rather than a redundant or competing one, supporting leaders in the field.

We have identified several core partners for our work, including Democracy Forward, a public interest non-profit that uses the law to challenge governmental abuses of power and to advance social progress.  Our work with Democracy Forward ranges from providing assistances in coalition building, legal strategy, and mentorship of the next generation of social justice lawyers.
